Our Mission is to help our students The SAP Program The Student Assistance Program (SAP) is designed to facilitate success for all C-FB school district students through prevention and intervention strategies. We help students with life situations that may affect their performance both in the classroom and daily life. Licensed counselors provide various services both in and out of the classroom, acting as a valuable resource to administrators and teachers in the school district. We assist in three key areas: Violence Intervention, individual and group counseling, and family counseling. Violence Intervention Safety is a key concern in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District. To keep violence in schools at bay, the Student Assistance Program provides immediate response to calls from principals, grades K – 12, to assess a threatening student. Counselors and staff are on-call 24 hours a day/7 days a week. We assess the student’s level of risk for violence, and we work with their parents, providing referrals for intervention services. We also provide counseling when appropriate and support the family throughout the process. Counseling Services Our staff provides counseling on the school campuses every day. Students receive both individual and group counseling in the following areas:
Family Counseling C-FB ISD students and their families have access to family counseling at our CFB Counseling Center Monday through Thursday evenings. Play therapy for children ages four to 10 and bilingual counseling are also available. |
