Clothes Closet Sorting Guidelines
CLOTHES CLOSET
SORTING GUIDE
To offer optimum
client service given available space and resources, we use the following
guidelines:
KEEP
|

 |
|
-
Sort clothes by size and
gender, fold or hang them, in the appropriate area. If the jacket
has a full zipper, please hang. If it has a partial zipper, place on
a shelf in the correct size area. (Please
straighten the other clothing in areas where you’re placing newly sorted
items.)

Bundle new socks and
underwear into groups of 5 or 6 pairs of the same size. Use zipper
seal bags or tape to hold the groups together. Make sure the size of
the underwear or socks is clearly visible or labeled.

SPECIAL ITEMS

-
CFBISD
school T-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. go to the “spirit wear” shelf by the
front desk. Please take the spirit wear from your school to your
school nurse.
-
Athletic
jerseys and shoes with cleats go into a special box in the back room to
donate to “Cleats for Kids”
|
OUTGOING
(Please place
these items in clearly labeled bags or boxes)
|
|

|
-
T-shirts with
advertising or company logos, for example, “Fun Run 2000” (unless that
logo is desirable on school clothing
-
Pajamas, belts, formal
wear, or dress shoes, hats
|
TRASH
-
Put
clothing with holes, tears, broken zippers, etc. in the trash.

Do not
keep used socks or underwear (due to health regulations)
