DID YOU KNOW?
In the 2007-2008 school year, we
had over 305 referral families to the Clothes Closet. We helped clothe 925
children from our community.
Which

Provide…

Coats or
Jackets for each immediate member of the family
-
New
Socks, Underwear, New/Gently Used Uniforms (children only) and Clothing (all
family members)

Shoes
are available for school age children
How We
Operate…
We are supported by the local
PTAs, people, businesses, civic organizations and churches in the
Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD Community

How
is a Family Referred?
-
Counselor, Teacher, Principal referrals
-
CIS
referrals (Communities in School)

We follow strict
guidelines…
-
Clients are only allowed to visit twice a school year, no more than two years
in a row,
-
Clients have 1 hour to select clothing and must follow limits on amount of
clothing allowed per person,
-
All clients MUST have a referral form from an authorized school district agent.
How YOU Can Help:

Collect, Fold & Sort Clothing
-
Collect Monetary Donations
-
Donate Gently Used Clothing, especially school uniforms
-
Donate new Socks & Underwear
-
Promote School-Wide New Sock & Underwear Drives
-
Organize a Coat/Sock/Underwear Drive at a local business or other organization
in Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Dallas, Addison, Coppell, Irving or Las Colinas
-
Serve as a translator on workdays
